Would
start with the most wanted topic in the phone industry.. Everyone assumed and
rumors were spread that the iPhone 6 would be a transparent phone but many
think it is not possible, but actually there are tests made to actually make it possible. Anything
that is transparent just looks cool to us. This excitement originally arose from all the sci-fi movies that use transparent
devices and advanced technologies. They sort of defy all logic, especially when
technology is involved. Yet, in reality also scientists are trying really hard
to make it seem possible with the liquid crystal technology. Liquid crystal
technology is being used to create a transparent phone by its constant
switching open and close format which makes me wonder, will we someday lose
our phones because we literally can’t see it?
A
few companies including Polytron Technologies are working hard to make this
possible. Their Smart Glass Technology looks a bit cloudy white and when the
device is powered on, the switching molecules open up making the device opaque
and not fully transparent as things such as the sim card, battery, speaker,
camera are hard to be hidden through glass reflections. Working prototypes are
expected this year and with any luck Polytron will find some interested phone
manufacturers and become an OEM partner. So keep an eye out (if you can see
them) for transparent phones in the near future !!
